Trainee Tax Assistant

Our client, a prominent accountancy firm in Ayrshire who offer a range of tax, audit, and advisory services to both businesses and individuals, are currently seeking to expand their tax team by hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Tax Assistant.

Training and support will be provided to help you initially achieve ATT qualification, with the option to pursue further studies towards becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser or obtaining equivalent qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing personal tax returns.
• Gather and organize financial data and documentation for tax filings.
• Support the tax team in ensuring compliance with local and national tax regulations.
• Help maintain accurate tax records.
• Provide administrative support to the tax department as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
