Full Job Description

Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by our market leading client in the drilling industry to source a Treasury Accountant on a full time, staff basis. This newly created role will be based in Dyce on a hybrid basis. Our client is going through a period of growth, so this presents an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to progress.

To be considered, you will be currently working in a treasury role with extensive experience in this area. You will enjoy working in a small team and be confident to hit the ground running. Our client is offering an excellent salary and benefits package.

The Opportunity

  • Booking bank vouchers and reconciling bank accounts
  • Preparation and approval of payment runs and manual payment proposals
  • Maintaining non-operational intercompany relationships, contracts, and billings
  • Management of exchange rates within ERP
  • Supporting month end close process within required deadlines for intercompany reconciliations
  • Be the key point of contact for operational banking partners and debt financiers
  • Maintenance of treasury schedules for interest and loan balances (internal and external); manage compliance with external debt agreement including reporting and covenant testing
  • Develop robust hedging strategy that helps to protect the business from adverse movements in interest rates and exchange rates
  • Support tendering process advising on preferred currency splits related to medium / long term cash planning requirements
  • Support vendor management with ownership of the integrity of supplier master data for bank information

Background and Experience

  • Educated to college/university level or experienced treasury professional
  • Effective and proven communication skills at all levels internally and externally
  • Effective team building skills whilst being able to work autonomously and self-motivate
  • Flexible approach requiring the ability to support international operations across different time zones and a variety of cultures
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
