An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individual to join an evolving team as a Triage Practitioner. Working as a Triage Practitioner within the NHS East Riding Talking Therapies Service you will be gathering and giving information to the local population. We would welcome applications from experts by experience of Talking Therapies Services.

  • Main duties of the job The Service supports people aged 16 and upwards in the community. Providing a range of recovery focused interventions for people with mild, moderate and moderately severe common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression. The service provides a stepped care treatment approach. This triage process involves:
  • Taking live calls from the public to the service
  • Reading online referrals
  • Booking assessments
  • Liaising with other professionals and the team
  • Gathering patient feedback

    NVQ level 3 in mental health/ learning disabilities or equivalent qualification
  • To have an understanding of mental health
  • To understand the risk assessment process
  • An understanding of confidentiality and Information Governance
  • Knowledge & Experience Essential
  • Awareness of local services and community provision
  • To have an understanding of risk assessments
  • To be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Ability to commute effectively between trust bases
  • Desirable
  • Experience with data inputting e.g. electronic clinical record systems
  • Experience of working with people with mental health difficulties, Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, empathy and compassion to the needs of service users
  • Evidence of inter-personal skills and the ability to form therapeutic relationships with services users
  • Patient centered approach
  • Good organisational skills
  • Have a good level of self-awareness and understand the need to seek supervision to maintain good patient care and your own wellbeing
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment
  • Desirable
  • Have experience in working with patient within a patient centered setting
