Vehicle Technician

C&D Grant (Motor Engineers) Ltd was established in 1998 as an independent family business, serving Paisley and the surrounding area. Over two decades we have grown into a well-respected, successful business providing car diagnostics, repairs, servicing, MOTs and maintenance for all makes and models.

C&D Grant are looking for Vehicle Technicians to join our team. We are a large and busy independent garage in Paisley carrying out MOT testing, service and repairs on a wide variety of makes and models of car and LCV.

About You

The successful applicant will be an experienced technician who will repair and service vehicles, diagnose additional faults, and ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.

Using best practices, you will work quickly and independently to solve problems to reach a satisfactory outcome.

Key Requirements 

• A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification
• A full and clean driving license
• Own tools
• A positive attitude and approach to work
• Good time keeping
• Experience and understanding of diagnostics
• Ability to work well in a team
• Good house keeping

As part of this role, you must be able to work well in a small team, be a good communicator, and be able to manage a variety of different workloads. Our company is committed to taking care of its employees, so we offer competitive salary.

Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday and every other Saturday. An enhanced rate is paid for Saturday working and any additional overtime. A total of 30 days of holiday will be granted to you per year, including statutory holidays. We will provide you with full training and technical support, as well as work wear.
