We’re recruiting across several roles as part of this growth and improvement journey.It’s a genuinely energising time to join us, with real opportunities to shape how we work, enhance service delivery, and contribute to a forward-looking, ambitious organisation.The RoleWe’re looking for a passionate and proactive Volunteer Development Specialist to help us support, develop and grow our volunteer community.Working closely with volunteers, Regional Development Groups and Company Commandants, you’ll help ensure our volunteers have a positive, well-supported experience from induction and training through to ongoing development, engagement and retention.You’ll act as an important link between our volunteers and colleagues across the organisation - listening to feedback, resolving issues, supporting consistent ways of working and helping us continually improve the volunteer experience.This is a varied, people-focused role where you’ll:Support volunteers across induction, training, development, engagement and retentionBuild strong relationships with volunteers and regional volunteer teamsHelp resolve issues and provide practical support and guidanceCreate opportunities for volunteers to share feedback and have their voices heardSupport the development of volunteer roles and progression pathwaysHelp deliver initiatives designed to improve the volunteer experience and grow our volunteer baseSupport volunteers to make effective use of our Volunteer Relationship Management systemContribute to volunteer conduct and performance matters where requiredYou’ll thrive in this role if you:Have experience of volunteering or volunteer coordination within the voluntary or community sectorUnderstand the volunteer journey and what creates a great volunteer experienceBuild strong, trusted relationships with a wide range of peopleAre organised, practical and confident solving problemsCommunicate well and are comfortable handling sensitive or challenging situationsEnjoy working collaboratively while being confident using your own initiativeSome evening/weekend work and participation in an events on-call rota will be required.If you’re passionate about helping volunteers feel supported, valued and able to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you., None specified
