Full Job Description
- Effectively perform the role in the assigned area of responsibility, which includes, manual handling of heavy stock, receiving and replenishing goods with accuracy, picking, packing and handing out collection orders to customers and keeping accurate records of stock levels.
- Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
- You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes. The Start Date of employment will be: June 2025 - This role offers an hourly rate of £12.60. For hours worked between 10pm and 6am there will be an additional nightshift allowance of £2.25 per hour.
- Part Time: 20-30 Hours working 4-5 days per week including 3 out of 4 weekends. The shift patterns for these roles are nights/ early mornings, this means shift start times will be between 10pm and 5am.
- Full Time: 39 Hours working 5 days per week including alternate weekends. The shift patterns for these roles are nights/ early mornings, this means shift start times will be between 10pm and 5am. Due to Health & Safety requirements you must be over the age of 18 for this role. Please be aware that the IKEA Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.
