Full Job Description

We're opening a new branch located in Rosyth and are looking to employ two Warehouse Operative/Drivers to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day to day picking, packing, delivery and warehouse tasks.

R&M are the largest independent Electrical Distributors in the UK. Beside our 8 UK stocking branches, we have specialist Projects and Exports divisions as well as in-house Fixings, Cables, Lighting and Assembly divisions. This Group offering allows us to provide a solution for all electrical requirements domestically and overseas.

Main Duties: Main responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

  • Receiving, handling and dispatch of goods coming into, or going out of the stores or warehouse.

  • Unloading and checking goods, correctly storing them, picking, packing and dispatching customer orders, entering details of received goods onto a computer system, keeping the warehouse area in an acceptable condition.

  • Ensuring any vehicle taken onto the public highway is safe to use and is correctly loaded.

  • Responsible for the distribution of goods within a specified area and any other related tasks as specified on a daily basis by the branch manager.

  • To ensure all dealings with customers and suppliers are conducted in a professional and courteous manner.

  • All tasks to be performed in compliance with the groups Health & Safety and Quality Control systems, and within the scope of British law., Training will be given on all aspects of the liaison with suppliers & customers and any additional IT required.

    Driving Licence

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good IT skills for data entry

  • Ability to work as part of a team, but also with own initiative

  • Ability to function under pressure and with an understanding of priorities relating to customer service
