Job title: Welder/Fabricator Level 3
Reporting line: Workshop Lead
Location: Aberdeen
Position Grade: G
Principal Accountabilities
- Carry out repairs to offshore CCU's and tanks
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to improve safety and aesthetics of CCU
- Document trip inspection (includes electronically)
- Carry out visual inspection on all CCU's (including inspection of lifting gear)
- Perform cutting and heating tasks by use of oxygen and acetylene
- Non fleet and third-party repairs or fabrication
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work to a high standard or workmanship.
- Ability to learn new skills.
- Work to tight deadlines in a safe and accurate manner.
- Ability to work unsupervised in diligent and safe manner.
Qualifications And Experience
- Prior welding experience
- Certified to carry out Secondary Structure Fillet Welds (EPD016)
- Good understanding of fabrication and confident in reading engineering drawings
- Knowledgeable in identifying acceptable materialsin reference to weld procedures for DNV compliant repairs
- Certified to carry out Primary Structure Repairs (EPD012)
- Numeracy & literacy
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Forklift driving (not essential)
- Ability to perform fabrication work to offshore standard DNV 2.7-1
HSE Responsibilities
Stop work by challenging and stopping unsafe acts and behaviours or unsafe conditions.
Comply with Standard Operating Procedures defined in Responsibilities above, and company STOP WORK system.
