Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2) Glasgow | Permanent | Days | Circa £37k We are working with an established engineering business to recruit a Welding Inspector to support quality control across fabrication, welding and assembly activities. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring products meet required specifications, codes and standards. You will be involved from pre-weld setup through to final inspection. Key Responsibilities Carry out visual inspection of welds (pre, in-process and final)
Verify fabricated and assembled products against drawings and specifications
Monitor weld consumables and compliance with WPS/PQR
Conduct weld surveillance and maintain inspection records
Produce weld maps where required
Perform dimensional inspection on final assemblies
Support welder qualification testing
Work closely with internal teams to resolve quality issues
Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME and relevant standards What You'll Need CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification (essential)
Background in fabrication, welding and assembly
Knowledge of NDT processes and acceptance criteria
Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ASME standards
