Workshop Operative

Connect Appointments have a fantastic opportunity with long-term employment available for skilled and reliable individuals in the Cambuslang area to become Workshop Operatives with our growing client.

Pay rate: 11.44 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 2:15pm to 10:30pm & Friday, 2:15pm to 9:15pm

You will work 37.5 hours per week, but paid for 40 as you're breaks are paid.

We're welcoming applications from experienced joiners with basic carpentry skills as well as individuals new to the trade - full training provided.

As a Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for:

• Working on production and construction benches, preparing timber frames using different hand-held tools, saws, and machines
• Manual labour that involves heavy lifting
• Ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to and maintained at all times
• General housekeeping duties and manual handling

The ideal Workshop Operative will be: Able to work well in a team, or as an individual; Flexible and eager to be trained to work on all benches to keep production running smoothly; Experienced from working in a similar role, or on sites or warehouses (beneficial, but not required as training is available)
