Yard Operative

In the role of Yard Operative you'll play an key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Service Centre. It will be your job to prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for customers to hire. Your duties will include:

• Cleaning and preparing equipment
• Checking and storing off-hired equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas
• Liaising with customers on a day to day basis when loading and unloading job

To succeed as a Yard Operative you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
• The physical fitness required to undertake your daily tasks
• Ability to work as part of a team
• An organised approach and able to complete job duties on time
• Good customer service skills
• A flexible approach and willing to undertake relevant training and development
• A commitment to and awareness of Health and Safety - knowledge of PPE requirements and COSHH is an advantage.
