Business Development Manager – Asset Finance

Competitive Basic Salary | Uncapped Commission | Strong OTE | Genuine Career Progression

We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a growing asset finance brokerage and play a key role in the next stage of our development.

This is an opportunity for someone who knows how to sell, build relationships and create business and wants to be properly rewarded for doing it.

We are prepared to offer a strong basic salary for the right individual, particularly someone who can bring proven asset finance experience, industry knowledge and a track record of generating revenue.

On top of that, you’ll benefit from a highly competitive, uncapped commission structure with significant OTE potential.

There is no artificial ceiling on what a successful BDM can earn.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We provide asset finance solutions to businesses across the UK, helping customers fund everything from cars and commercial vehicles to plant, machinery and business equipment.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced salesperson who can develop their own portfolio of customers, create new relationships and generate consistent new business.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with a broad panel of lenders and provide customers with a range of funding solutions, while being supported by an experienced operations team who can help progress transactions from application through to payout.

We’re not looking for someone simply to manage a database.

We want someone who enjoys creating opportunities, developing relationships and winning business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for:

• Proactively generating new asset finance opportunities.

• Building and developing your own portfolio of customers.

• Developing long-term relationships with new and existing clients.

• Building relationships with introducers, dealers, suppliers and professional contacts.

• Prospecting businesses and identifying new funding opportunities.

• Speaking directly with business owners, directors and key decision-makers.

• Understanding customers’ requirements and identifying appropriate finance solutions.

• Managing opportunities from initial conversation through to completion.

• Maintaining an active and accurate sales pipeline within our CRM.

• Following up enquiries and converting opportunities into completed business.

• Working closely with lenders and our internal operations team to progress transactions efficiently.

• Achieving agreed monthly and annual revenue targets.

• Creating repeat business through strong customer service and relationship management.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

First and foremost, you must be able to sell.

You should have a proven track record within a sales or business development environment and be comfortable generating your own opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.

Previous experience within asset finance is strongly preferred, although we would also be interested in candidates with relevant experience in commercial finance, vehicle finance, business finance, banking or another closely related sector.

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

• Proven B2B sales experience.

• A strong track record of winning and developing new business.

• Asset finance or commercial finance experience.

• Confidence in prospecting and opening new relationships.

• Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills.

• Strong commercial awareness.

• The ability to build relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers.

• A disciplined approach to pipeline and CRM management.

• The ability to work independently and take ownership of performance.

• Ambition, resilience and a genuine desire to build a successful career.

Existing relationships or a network within the asset finance industry would be a significant advantage.

SALARY, COMMISSION & BENEFITS

We understand that attracting a high-quality BDM requires a package that reflects their ability.

For the right candidate, we are prepared to offer a strong and competitive basic salary, with the final package dependent on experience and track record.

Alongside your basic salary, you will receive a highly attractive uncapped commission structure with strong OTE potential.

Put simply: the more value you create, the more you can earn.

We want ambitious people to see a genuine financial benefit from growing their portfolio and generating significant revenue for the business.

CAREER PROGRESSION

This is where we believe the opportunity becomes particularly exciting.

We are an ambitious and growing brokerage, and the person joining us now will have the opportunity to become an important part of where the business goes next.

As the company expands, we want our strongest performers to grow with us.

For the right individual, that could mean developing a substantial personal portfolio, increasing earning potential, taking on greater responsibility and potentially progressing into senior business development, leadership or management roles as the team grows. You won’t simply be filling an existing seat.

You’ll have the opportunity to build something within the business and directly influence its future growth. Interested?

If you’re currently working within asset finance or commercial finance and feel your ability, relationships and ambition could be rewarded better, we’d like to speak to you.

Equally, if you are an exceptional B2B salesperson looking to move into asset finance and can demonstrate a genuine track record of generating new business, we would be interested in hearing from you.

We’re looking for someone ambitious, commercially minded and hungry to build a significant portfolio.

If that sounds like you, apply today for a confidential conversation about the role, the package and where this opportunity could take you.
