Interim Management Accountant opportunity with a well-established manufacturing business based in Livingston for 3-4 months. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end process, providing manufacturing performance analysis and partnering closely with operational stakeholders across production, procurement and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the preparation and submission of monthly management accounts
Prepare month-end journals, stock accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and maintain sales quality provisions
Review and report on manufacturing variances, providing insight to production management
Prepare monthly purchase variance analysis and reporting for procurement stakeholders
Support the costing and ongoing review to ensure manufacturing costs are accurately reflected
Assist with the preparation and monitoring of capital expenditure proposals and cashflow forecasting
Support the year-end statutory audit process and liaise with external auditors as required
Partner with operational teams across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making

Candidate Profile:

Qualified accountant
Previous management accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis
Experience presenting financial information to operational and non-finance stakeholders
Strong ERP systems knowledge and experience working with large datasets
Advanced Excel and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple functions
Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving capabilities
