Payroll Executive (Practice)

Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 DOE

Pertemps are exclusively recruiting for a well established accountancy practice based in Giffnock is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Executive to join its payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with previous accountancy practice or payroll bureau experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced client-focused environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of payroll clients across a variety of sectors, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
Managing payroll queries and providing support to clients
Processing starters, leavers, pensions and statutory payments
Submitting RTI returns and ensuring HMRC compliance
Administering auto-enrolment pension schemes
Maintaining accurate payroll records and reports
Liaising with HMRC and pension providers where required
Supporting the wider practice team with payroll-related matters

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau environment is essential
Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll and Xero Payroll
Excellent understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC processes
Experience managing multiple payrolls simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
CIS experience would be advantageous but is not essential
