Payroll Specialist – CIPP Qualified

The RoleAs Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering an accurate and efficient end-to-end payroll service while ensuring compliance with current legislation and organisational policies. Working closely with HR and Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy and providing expert guidance on payroll-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

Process monthly payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
Maintain payroll records and employee data in line with GDPR requirements.
Calculate statutory payments, pensions, deductions, overtime and other payroll adjustments.
Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, payroll legislation and employment law.
Manage payroll queries, providing a high level of customer service to employees and managers.
Reconcile payroll reports and liaise with Finance regarding payroll journals.
Administer pension schemes, including auto-enrolment responsibilities.
Support year-end payroll activities, including P60s and other statutory reporting.
Assist with payroll audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Work collaboratively with HR to ensure employee changes are reflected accurately within payroll.

About YouWe're looking for a payroll professional who can demonstrate:

CIPD qualification (essential).
Previous experience managing end-to-end payroll within a busy environment.
Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and statutory payments.
Excellent understanding of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across the business.
A proactive approach with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
