Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for an Early Years Senior Practitioner to act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre-Birth to Three Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children.

This is a Children’s Service Network (CSN) post. Initially you will be based at Turriff School Nursery, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Turriff CSN.

The successful candidate will be employed on a 45.04 week per year contract.

Requirements

This position is subject to Local Government terms and Conditions. This post is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
