Peace Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading firm specializing in property and construction services who are looking to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to join their established team in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert advice and support across a variety of building surveying projects, contributing to the success and growth of our firm.

The role will involve work across both Private and Public Sectors with a high level of project involvement.

Responsibilities:

Conducting detailed building surveys and inspections, assessing the condition of existing structures and identifying any defects or issues.
Undertaking measured surveys and producing accurate drawings using industry-standard software.
Managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and representing the company professionally at all times.

Requirements:

Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or working towards chartered status.
Proven experience working as a Building Surveyor, ideally within a consultancy environment.
Strong technical knowledge of building construction, defects diagnosis, and relevant legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in surveying and drafting software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
