Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules and supporting documentation within agreed deadlines.
Assess site constraints, access arrangements, possessions and other rail-specific requirements that may affect project costs.
Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.
Support tender reviews, handovers and post-tender negotiations where required.
Ensure estimates are accurate, commercially viable and aligned with client specifications and contractual requirements.

Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience working as a Civils Estimator within the construction or civil engineering sector.
Experience pricing civil engineering projects within the rail infrastructure environment is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, plant and labour requirements.
Experience preparing detailed estimates, analysing tender documentation and obtaining subcontractor quotations.
Good commercial awareness, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities within tender submissions.
Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating software.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with commercial and operational teams.
A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline would be advantageous.
