Duratec is seeking a proactive Purchasing Officer to join our Wangara based team for a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a hands on, varied, fast-paced role. This role is vital for maintaining an organised and efficient stores and yard environment to support our ongoing projects.,

Purchase materials, consumables, PPE, minor plant, and equipment as required
Check incoming shipments to ensure orders are correct and meet specifications
Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer documentation for accounting purposes
Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries
Undertake general yard maintenance and housekeeping duties related to stores operations
Maintain warehouse in a tidy, safe, and easily accessible condition with stores and workshop staff
Coordinate building maintenance contractors for office repairs and services.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
Current C-A Class Driver's Licence (minimum requirement)
Current High Risk Forklift Licence (an advantage)
Previous purchasing, customer service, or warehousing experience
Practical minded with strong time management and problem-solving skills
IT savvy (ordering systems, emails, basic administration)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A strong team-player attitude with the ability to work independently
