Every great chip starts somewhere, and it starts with us. Want to be part of the team that gets the seed right so the fries are ones we can all be proud of? Come and join us in Montrose. What will you be doing? You'll play a key part in our seed operations, handling, storing and moving seed potatoes so they're in the right place at the right time. It's hands-on, practical work, and what you do here shapes the quality of every crop that follows. This includes tasks such as:

Receiving, checking and recording incoming seed stock;
Loading, unloading and moving product safely using a forklift;
Storing seed in the right location and conditions;
Preparing and dispatching seed orders to growers;
Keeping stores clean, safe and organised;
Using our systems to record stock movements accurately.

Our McCain Seeding Farm in Montrose is where it all begins - the birthplace of the potatoes that end up on plates across the country. Set against the scenic backdrop of Scotland's east coast, this farm is a hub of agricultural excellence and innovation. Here, we grow the seed potatoes that fuel our network of growers, combining hands-on care with forward-thinking farming techniques. It's more than just a workplace - it's a place to grow, thrive, and be part of something bigger from the ground up.
