As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be a key technical authority supporting operational plant performance within a highly regulated nuclear environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with safety-critical systems, providing engineering expertise that enables safe, reliable and compliant operations. Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, environmental, quality and legislative requirements across all engineering activities
Provide technical authority for Management of Change and Management of Operations processes
Deliver clear advice and documentation to senior leaders, system owners, operators and maintainers
Own engineering issues by planning, managing and delivering safe, effective mechanical solutions
Undertake secondary site roles such as Radiological Protection Supervisor or PUWER Assessor, with training provided

Experience working within a highly regulated industry.
Proven mechanical engineering fault-finding and resolution.
Experience designing and substantiating engineered modification packages
Ability to deliver turnkey engineering work packages from documentation through to installation and testing
Competence producing and amending engineering documentation, drawings and method statements.
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or HNC/HND with relevant experience
