Hypostyle Architects are looking for an experienced Principal Designer / Health and Safety CDM Consultant to assist the practice with all health and safety matters.

This is a regional role supplying service to a broad spectrum of clients primarily across the Central Belt. You will be able to work from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices with home working flexibility. The position can be full-time or part-time by agreement. You will be involved in providing CDM advice and support to Client Teams and working to further develop and grow CDM requirements of the business with the support of the Directors. Responsibilities will also include preparation of Pre-Construction Information documentation, assessment of Construction Phase Plans and compilation of Health & Safety Files.

This is an opportunity to join a practice with a strong design ethic and a range of interesting projects. We have expertise across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, education and conservation and demonstrable experience across several areas would be an advantage.

Experience

Several years’ experience within the Health and Safety Consultancy sector.

Proven track record of providing CDM support and advice.

Comprehensive knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.

Qualifications

You will ideally hold NEBOSH or equivalent Accreditation.

You will ideally hold a degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant Health and Safety or Construction subject.
