Administrator – Civil Engineering

Location: Glasgow

Employment Type: Freelance

Duration: Approximately 6 months

Clarkson Owens Recruitment is currently working with a busy civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow who is looking to add an experienced and proactive Administrator to their team.

The business has seen a healthy increase in workload and is looking for someone who can provide strong administrative support while being willing to take on additional responsibilities as required.

This is not necessarily a traditional administration role. Candidates with some design or technical experience would be particularly advantageous, as there may be opportunities to take on additional duties beyond standard administration.

Assisting with project and office documentation.
Managing correspondence, records and general project administration.
Supporting the wider team with organisation and coordination.
Assisting with the preparation and management of project documents.
Liaising with colleagues, clients and other project stakeholders as required.
Taking on additional responsibilities based on experience and ability.
Supporting the team during a period of increased workload.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

Proactive and organised with a strong attention to detail.
Confident working independently and managing their own workload.
Comfortable working in a busy environment with changing priorities.
A strong communicator with good written and verbal skills.
Experienced in an administrative role, ideally within construction, civil engineering or a related environment.
Comfortable using standard Microsoft Office packages.

Any experience with design, CAD or technical documentation would be highly advantageous, as this could allow the successful candidate to take on additional duties and develop the role beyond standard administration.

What's on Offer?

Freelance position for approximately 6 months.
Opportunity to work with an established civil engineering contractor.
Glasgow-based position.
Potential to take on a broader range of responsibilities depending on your experience.
A busy working environment with the potential for further opportunities.
