Interim Head of Service and Chief Social Work Officer Annual Salary: £91,688 A temporary opportunity has arisen to join our management team as Interim Head of Service and Chief Social Work Officer for a period of approximately 6 months while the recruitment and selection for a permanent appointment is undertaken. Given the temporary and short-term nature of the post, it is important that the successful candidate is able to commence employment at the soonest opportunity and no later than 4 weeks from the date of interview. As Interim Head of Service, you will lead your services to champion the vision, values and wider objectives of Moray Council and Health and Social Care Moray in order to deliver the key strategic aims of the organisation making Moray an even better place to live. This includes: • Developing service strategies and operational management policies, procedures and protocols relating to services in Moray covering adults and children. • As a member of the senior leadership team, provide leadership, vision, professional advice and strategic direction on the full range of services within your portfolio. • Undertake the role and responsibilities of Chief Social Work Officer in terms of Section 3 of the Social Work Scotland Act 1968, accountable to the Chief Executive of Moray Council all in accordance with the relevant guidance If you can help us with the challenge of making the most of constrained financial resources and increasing demands on council services to continue to improve outcomes for Moray, we would welcome your application.
