Iconic Resourcing are proud to be working with a well-established legal firm as they look to appoint an experienced Legal Secretary to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to provide essential support across a busy legal practice, with a particular focus on conveyancing.

You’ll play a key role in supporting Paralegals and Directors with the smooth running of client transactions. From preparing legal documentation to managing client communications and handling confidential information, you’ll be trusted with a varied and important workload.

Key Responsibilities

Provide general secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
Collect and organise AML evidence in line with Law Society guidance
Arrange and attend meetings with clients, keeping them informed throughout their case
Conduct legal research and share relevant findings with the wider team
Prepare drafts of legal documentation, including Dispositions and Standard Securities
Submit registration forms to Registers of Scotland and LBTT Returns to Revenue Scotland
Open and close client files, and maintain accurate title inventories
Assist in the preparation of conveyancing documents following instruction
Manage and maintain client files (paper and digital) in line with the Data Protection Policy
Carry out clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, call handling and correspondence
Provide holiday cover for colleagues, ensuring continuity and quality of work

We’re looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in a legal support role, ideally within conveyancing
Is highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Communicates clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues
Understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality
Is comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities
Thrives in a supportive, team-focused environment
