Your new role
The Procurement Officer will work with a team focussed on programme planning, delivering savings and best practice across a range of contract activities, through optimisation of the procurement processes and procurement systems to deliver both cash and non-cash efficiencies. The post holder will assist in the development of the organisation's procurement capability by working closely with clients to ensure a professional procurement and contracts management approach and in the implementation and continual development of e-procurement tools.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong procurement experience gained within a large multifunctional public sector organisation. Ideally, you will have experience of tendering and contracting activities, including tender administration, tender evaluation, supplier negotiations and contract award. Experience of the implementation and operation of electronic procurement solutions, e.g. Public Contracts Scotland, eSourcing Scotland and PECOS would be advantageous.
