Scottish Canals is looking for Finance Office Worker at The Falkirk Wheel!

We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals to join our team and work with us over our Summer to Autumn 2024 season.

Our pace, personality and people make us amongst Scotland’s top visitor attractions.

If you’re interested in maths, trends and understanding business, then this could be the perfect job for you.

From counting cash, to supporting the Sales and Purchase ledger teams, your days will be filled with new and interesting income streams from Tills to Moorings.

You will assist our experienced finance team, and amazing retail team at the Falkirk Wheel and be introduced to the world of canals.

Full training will be provided.

Key Duties include:

Daily Cash taking processing.
Checking Cash back to Sales reports
Capturing Sales Invoices
Capturing Purchase Invoices
Supporting Finance Assistant with transaction posting
Running reports
Assisting all finance staff if and when required.

To be successful you will have:

Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
Excelling skills in numeracy
Attention to detail
Experience using MS Office, in particular Excel Skills
Good time management and organisational skills
The ability to work well under pressure
A sense of own initiative with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
A flexible approach to the role and willingness to learn

Previous experience in a similar role is welcomed, but not essential.

This role attracts a salary of £12.13 per hour.
