10092 - Postdoctoral Research Fellow

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to investigate host-response genomics in critically-ill patients, working within the Baillie Laboratory., A PhD with a strong quantitative component, particularly population genetics, bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics or probabilistic machine learning and computer science.
Training in statistical modelling and inference
Experience of working with large genotyping or sequencing data sets
A proven ability to think critically about scientific analysis in order to ensure robust results
Computational skills to include experience of using a statistical package (e.g. R, MATLAB or Python)

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
