Full Job Description

We are looking for a Research Project Manager with experience of working with local and international partners, including from the Global South, and of project management of complex international projects to join the School of Social and Political Science.

The Opportunity:

You will be responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and monitoring of the strategic plans to deliver a large interdisciplinary and international research programme related to healthcare waste and sustainability.

This post is fixed term for up to 60 months from 1 September 2024 to no later than 31 August 2029.

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Current project management qualification plus typically a minimum of four years' hands-on experience in a similar role, or substantial vocational experience (typically ten years) demonstrating development through involvement in a series of progressively more demanding roles.
A proven track record of success in project management of complex, international projects
Experience working with local and international partners, including from the Global South.
Experience of managing the activities of others including line and team management
Experience of developing and managing public communication of academic research
