Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once CESR is awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.  

Applications are welcome for the above Fixed Term, full time (40 hours per week) post based in Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.

This post is for a full time, Locum Consultant post in Spinal Surgery at this nationally designated centre. They post is available from 01 May 2024 onwards initially for a period of twelve months with potential to extend. The post requires training in paediatric and adult spinal deformity surgery. The surgical activity is based at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People and the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh with some outpatient activity at Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow.
