Full Job Description

The organisation Haldane youth services is a registered charity (SC038681) established in 2006, delivering after school activities for children and young people in the West Dunbartonshire Area. Youth / outreach worker post Thanks to funding from Young Start an opportunity has arisen for two dynamic individuals to join our community project based in Jamestown, West Dunbartonshire. The successful candidate will work with the Project Manager, Management board and HYS team to deliver a diverse programme of activities for children and young people. Your main role will be to help deliver a programme of exciting and engaging high quality activities that children and young people can experience and enjoy, whilst improving their health and wellbeing. Supporting children and young people, to make friendships, learn together and become more connected to their local community. You will work closely with children, young people, their families and any relevant partners, to ensure they are informed and supported to participate in any programmes, and any other community-based activities. The post holder will need to possess a non-judgemental approach, putting the needs of the children and young people first. Our main aim is to make a positive difference to the lives of the children and young people, aged 7 -12 years living within and immediately surrounding the Mill of Haldane.

12.00 per hour. 16 hours per week must be flexible as hours may vary and this will include some evenings and weekends. This post is fixed term for 2 years (may be extended pending funding.
