Accountant

GH Resourcing are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our local client who are looking for an Accountant to join their small team.

Reporting to the two company directors, the accountant will play a key role in developing processes and supporting major business decisions.

£40-£45k pa depending on experience annual bonus.

Due to the nature of this position, the role holder must be office based (Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm).

Duties

• Prepare monthly and annual accounts.
• Finalise and submit all HMRC PAYE/VAT returns on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Prepare monthly reports.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
• Deal with external auditors.
• Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems.
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Processing journals including prepayments & accruals.
• Bank reconciliations.
• The role will also involve payroll and some HR responsibilities.

Experience

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• High level of numeracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent IT Skills (including Excel & Sage 200)
• Ability to meet strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
