Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is core hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Administration Manager to join the team at the Institute of Neurological Sciences. 

The department is based in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Campus.

The appointee will be the first point of contact for the administrative team within Institute of Neurology Sciences.

It is essential that the post holder has a good working knowledge of clinical software systems, excellent organisation and communication skills. They should also have a good understanding of Freedom of Information, Caldicott Guidelines and General Data Protection Regulations.

The post holder will line manage staff across a wide range of administrative roles including Medical Secretaries, Audio Typist, waiting times team and patient facing reception roles. Therefore, it is key that they post holder has extensive management experiences, preferably within a large organisation.

The service is actively involved in the Professional Administrative Transformation Programme, and we strive to achieve a positive learning environment for all staff from our Modern Apprentice to our experienced managers.
