Full Job Description

The Contracts and Provisions Section are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable individual to join their team. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will provide an administrative support in ensuring the delivery of a range of functions including Mainstream and Additional Support Needs (ASN) transport, Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and Placing Requests for pupils within North Lanarkshire Council.  

This will include ensuring legislative and organisational deadlines are met in relation to payment of invoices and expenses, processing of application forms and production of management information and reports. You will assist in the supervision and co-ordination of staff and the day-to-day activities of the Contracts and Provisions Team and play an active role in the procurement processes, including co-ordinating Quick Quotes and carrying out relevant checks.

You will be responsible for ensuring a quality service is provided to schools, pupils, parents and contractors, through effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders to progress and resolve enquiries. Experience of working in a similar role, along with supervisory responsibility is essential.  

It is essential that you have good numerical skills along with a good working knowledge of a range of IT packages, including spreadsheets and databases.  Experience in procurement processes, particularly in relation to progressing Quick Quotes is desirable.
