Jedburgh Medical Practice Advanced Nurse Practitioner Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Jedburgh Medical Practice, for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our supportive forward thinking team.  At Jedburgh we pride ourselves on providing good quality clinical care and having a supportive and loyal team.  Our practice currently comprises of 3 GP Partners, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 1 Mental Health Nurse, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants, 8 excellent administrative staff, Practice Manager, Office Manager, First Contact Physiotherapist and a Prescribing Support Pharmacist (Part time).

The post holder will be NMC registered and hold relevant qualifications for the Advanced Nurse Practitioner role and must be an independent prescriber.

Considered applicants will be an expert clinical practitioner responsible for providing advanced clinical assessments, working autonomously, utilising high levels of decision making and clinical judgement in relation to patient care, including diagnosis and management of acute conditions.  The main role will be to undertake acute clinical care, working on the day demand appointments, and completing house visits as well as care home visits to residents.  The practice in return will provide support and mentoring. 

We are aiming to recruit a candidate to work Tuesday-Friday, 8 clinical sessions per week, however this is negotiable.
