Analyst, External Relationship Management

We are looking for a career driven and standout colleague to join Global Provider Strategy within the Relationship Management team. This group's primary focus is the establishment and deployment of relationship management strategies associated with key service providers. The group's risk governance program is constantly evolving to meet regulatory changes globally and the needs of stakeholder groups across BlackRock. You will work on strategic initiatives in close partnership with our internal business partners to promote our risk management programs, develop meaningful reporting and analysis and drive provider service excellence.,

• Partner with teams across BlackRock to help ensure that provider risks are understood and are consistent with BlackRock objectives and risk methodologies.


• Work closely with risk oversight partners and stakeholders across Technology & Operations to develop risk centric programs that protect our firm, funds, and clients.


• Build relationships with our provider banks and internal stakeholders


• You actively address systemic risks, utilizing significant metrics and holding providers accountable for service excellence.


• Collaborate with the GPS risk management team to drive RFP activity, along with critical metric and preparation and review.


• Develop positive relationships with key BlackRock groups and leaders ensuring governance programs are fully understood and embraced.


• Participate in cross functional working groups in the set up and creation of new products with a focus on provider relationship risks.


• Develop key provider data and metrics that deliver significant insights and drive data driven decisions.


• Familiarity and comfort with basic programming.


• You use data effectively to help build risk and relationship dashboards & support a technology vision for team.


• You stay ahead of industry developments and ensure BlackRock is well positioned to use the scale of our business model.
  
  BSc/BA degree.


• You have professional enthusiasm for the asset management industry and technical strategy development.


• Prior experience in financial services, investment industry, consulting or relationship management is preferred.


• Willingness to learn to identify and approach situations with a risk-based methodology and craft creative solutions.


• Analytical ability to synthesize information and summarize issues. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize the most critical business issues.


• Highly effective oral and written communication skills. Intellectual ability and interpersonal skills to establish credibility.


• Results driven, with a high degree of self-motivation.


• Inventive, dedicated teammate, able to work with people of all levels.

Our Team:

BlackRock's Global Provider Strategy ("GPS") team is responsible for using BlackRock's scale, industry knowledge, and risk management capabilities to build and expand partnerships with leading financial institutions, achieving the delivery of high-quality service to our firm's clients. To achieve each of these goals, GPS develops and implements a forward-looking provider strategy designed to increase operational efficiency, provide risk and cost visibility, and flexibility as our business evolves. To balance our relationships, GPS executes a global provider governance model that combines quantitative and qualitative components, encompasses a consistent engagement program between BlackRock and our partners, mitigates enterprise and third party risks, and sets parameters for the selection of new partners.

BlackRock has strategic relationships with dozens of key Provider Banks integral to our business operations. These institutions perform core fund accounting, custody, financial reporting and transfer agency services for BlackRock and our clients, critical to our daily operations. Our relationships with these Providers are long-term, are both strategically and operationally complex and are financially material to the firm's overall performance. We work with many of the most significant Service Providers in the post-trade asset servicing industry.

GPS drives strategic alignment between BlackRock and Post Trade Partners through dynamic relationship and risk management. GPS is responsible for BlackRock's post-trade relationship strategy with our custodians, fund administrators and transfer agents. We craft strategic optionality and assure the delivery of high-quality service at an attractive price., BlackRock's hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
