Appointed Person

Connect Appointments are seeking a qualified Appointed Person for work in Glasgow on a permanent basis! Our client provide innovative engineering solutions to an established clientele in the water and renewables sectors.

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Pay rates: 23 to 25 per hour (van and fuel card provided)

As an Appointed Person, you will primarily be responsible for the coordination and execution of Lift Plans on-site. Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager, you will ensure that all individuals involved in the lifting process are suitably trained and qualified. As well as this, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring all relevant staff are aware of the details of the Lift Plan
• Being present during all lifting operations
• Assessing lifting equipment alongside the Delivery Team
• Being aware and knowledgeable of plans and ensuring they are in accordance with Risk Assessment & Method Statements

The successful Appointed Person have excellent knowledge of safe working systems, as well as:

• At least 2 years of experience within a similar lifting operations role
• Relevant CPCS qualification
• A full UK driving licence
