Full Job Description

  • Ensuring that safe systems of work are in place on site and that all staff adhere to them

  • To translate design information to construction teams so they can construct the project effectively and efficiently

  • To manage the productivity on the site so that the project is completed on time

  • To ensure that the project is completed to the specification and quality needed by the client

  • To support the activity onsite in a way that adheres to cost and contract constraints

  • To ensure that the site has minimal negative impact on the environment and community

  • To manager interfaces between stakeholders associated with the project

  • Develop an understanding of construction skills, terminology and methodology


  • You will attend college and university on a day or block release basis during the Apprenticeship and should gain BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering or equivalent Civil Engineering Level 6 Diploma at the end of the apprenticeship., To ensure you feel prepared and informed at each stage of our recruitment journey, we wanted to share with you our two key stages;

    Stage one: getting to know you

    We are curious as to how you think and respond in certain situations, your natural preferences, the way you navigate environments and how you interact with others.

    To help us explore this, we will be asking you to complete a short questionnaire which looks at behaviours, preferences, and experiences in relation to different aspects of your working/professional life.

    Stage two: In-person or online interview

    This is the final stage of our recruitment journey and is where we get to meet you in person, either in one of our offices, or online via Teams.

    For us the most exciting part as we love hearing all about you. We also want to ensure you are getting the most out of your recruitment journey, so it's important you are curious and ask us questions too!

  • 3 A levels/5 Highers/120 UCAS points or equivalent in STEM subjects

  • Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 or A-C including Maths, English and Science

  • As well as strong numeracy and well-developed team and people skills, you have the passion and enthusiasm to keep the momentum going on a project

  • You will also have the ability to describe what interests and motivates you to the construction industry

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK at the time of joining
