Full Job Description

  • In a warehouse environment, you'll carry out various roles and duties involving moving, packaging, and stock-taking.

  • You'll oversee purchasing materials for product manufacturing.

  • Trained in how to monitor inventory storage levels and order new products and materials.

  • You'll manage the warehouse in general and contribute to its efficiency.

  • You'll learn how to place and maintain purchase orders for raw materials, subcontracting, and service orders.

  • You'll ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards for goods handling and storage.

  • You'll play a pivotal role in shipping and transporting Johnson Controls products globally.

  • You'll liaise with both internal and external customers, providing exceptional customer service.

  • Throughout the apprenticeship, you'll receive close training from your assigned mentor, as well as formal training at our designated training college.


  • How you will do it:

  • On-the-Job Work Experience: You'll spend significant time at our client sites, where you will get the opportunity to put into practice skills learned at college in a real-world setting.

  • Collaboration with Qualified Employees: Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll work closely with the Johnson Controls team who will serve as mentors, guiding you in developing your design skills. This collaborative environment ensures that you receive the support and guidance needed to succeed in your role.

  • You will be enrolled on a level 5 Warehousing, Storage and Distribution qualification that you will study alongside your new role. You'll enjoy the full support of your mentor and our dedicated apprentice training team.

    Applicants must have a minimum of National 4's in Maths and English at or level 2 equivalent.

  • A full driver's licence is desirable.

    What you will do:

  • What happens next?
  • Suitable candidates will have a screening call with a recruiter to discuss the position and provide necessary documentation. Afterward, you will be invited to an assessment centre in May, where they will participate in a practical assessment, meet the team, and have an interview.

  • Within 48 hours of the assessment centre, candidates will receive a response regarding the outcome of their application. If successful, they can begin the apprenticeship in August 2024.
