Full Job Description

Our client is a bespoke housing developer, specialising in private and affordable housing projects across Scotland.  They are looking for an experienced Architectural Technician to join their existing team, to manage a significant increase in workload. 

The ideal candidate will have a significant amount of experience in design within the private or affordable sector.

Ideal Candidate Skillset:-

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience post qualification
  • Minimum HNC in architectural technology, preferably HND or Degree qualified.
  • Good knowledge of designing affordable homes for external clients
  • A good knowledge of designing to Housing for Varying Needs standards
  • An understanding of designing for Secure by Design.
  • A good understanding of dealing with Scottish Building and Planning regulations
  • A good understanding planning and building warrant applications and experience dealing with planners and Building Control.
  • Must have good communication skills and a flexible working attitude.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well on working on their own initiative.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Revit, have knowledge design/delivery principles including BIM systems, and an understanding of the Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM)
  • Good customer interface skills.
  • A full UK Driving licence
