Assistant Accountant

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be recruiting, on an exclusive basis, for an Assistant Accountant for our private equity client. This is a full time, staff position and will be based from our client's office in the West End of Aberdeen. Reporting to the Group Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance team. You will be joining an organisation on an exciting growth journey which offers excellent development and progression opportunities. Candidates looking for part time hours and flexible working will also be considered.

The Opportunity

The Assistant Accountant will have responsibility for various aspects of the preparation of Group Accounts. Your role will include;

• Assisting with month end reporting
• Data input for trading consolidations and corporate consolidations
• Data processing for small group company together with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with management accounts
• Posting of bank transactions across various companies
• Preparation of VAT returns for group companies
• Corporation tax return preparation

Background and experience

The successful candidate will be proactive, hardworking and have experience in a similar role. You will be tech savvy and be confident using excel. This role would be suited to someone part qualified looking to take their next step in a growing business or someone qualified by experience looking to hit the ground running.
