Full Job Description

Amazing Training Opportunities - We will support you with all the training you need, including NVQ qualifications and further training if you want to specialise in areas like dementia and nutrition.
Requirements
Duties will include but not limited to:
Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing for special dietary requirements and taking into account the preferences and cultures of residents.
Liaise with the Head Chef to plan menus.
Maintain accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures.
Ensure stock rotation.
Order stock and check deliveries against all delivery notes and in line with the Food Safety System in place.
Supervise and instruct Kitchen colleagues in the use of all equipment and hygiene procedures.
Ensure statutory Health & Safety standards are followed in the kitchen and dining areas.

Newark Care Home is set in the suburbs of Port Glasgow and is easily reached from the surrounding areas of Greenock, Bishopton, Erskine, Paisley and the Western suburbs of Glasgow.
