Full Job Description

Glasgow City Council Property and Land Strategy lays out the strategic framework for the transformation of the Council Property and Land assets. The post will play a key role in the Council delivering on and supporting a number of strategies such as the Property and Land Strategy, Glasgow's Climate Plan 2019 and the recently approved Carbon Management Plan 2023-30. As the Assistant Group Manager - Energy Management within the Property Asset Management team, you will play an integral role managing the Council's energy usage more robustly and reduce the consumption of Gas and Electricity. A significant portion of the Council's annual budget is spent on property utility costs and efforts to reduce this have been deemed a priority. The new post holder will be responsible for organising energy audits within the GCC estate, identifying opportunities to reduce consumption and also to ensure that our energy bills are accurate and commensurate with the local context. The post holder will also

be responsible for ensuring our energy consumption targets align with relevant council policy and priorities, such as the Carbon Management Plan. This is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a key role within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability (NRS) in Scotland's largest local authority.
