Assistant Project Accountant

FinTech RS is working with a well-known business, based North of Aberdeen, who are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Accountant. This role will report directly to the Management Accountant, with a dotted line to the Project Director, and will provide accurate and detailed project-related financial information including.

Key duties:

• To support the project teams in estimating, compiling, monitoring, and reporting project costs; guaranteeing the accuracy and correctness of the data; preparing monthly data (revenue and project profit) for management accounts; and helping to spot and analyse overruns, discrepancies, and monthly variances.
• Take part in project meetings and record financial data to support forecasts and monthly reporting.
• Participation in the creation of the weekly flash revenue prediction and the upkeep of current completion cost estimates.
• Create predictions and monthly financial reports for project teams.
• Monitor sales invoicing to ensure timely and accurate billing for projects
• Help the management accountant with the monthly management accounts' work in progress and cost to completion.
• Ensure that data from sales orders is updated and included in the company's forecasting system.

Candidates should have experience of working within a finance-focused role, ideally having undertaken various financial analysis duties.
