Are you an aspiring Assistant Site Manager in the Fife area seeking a new challenge?


We’re recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager in Dunfermline to take on a brand new development, with the drive to deliver quality homes and continue learning and developing in their role. Supervising the development through to completion, you’ll exemplify our commitment to Health & Safety, and ensuring quality and best practices will be second nature to you.


Reporting to the Site Manager, the responsibilities of the role will include:


  • Organise the day-to-day running of the site and supervise all trades to ensure a high quality of delivery.
  • Managing employees, labour & subcontractors on site.
  • Following all safety procedures in conjunction with the quality assurance plan.
  • Provide assistance to the project / site manager as required and where applicable.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all safety procedures and fully implementing the latest revision of the construction phase health and safety plan and rams.
  • Ensure the work programme is adhered to at all times and highlight any issues to management where critical path or contract completion is jeopardised.
  • Co-ordinate and arrange the works in such a manner as to safeguard the profitability of the project.
  • Ensure the project is constructed according to the project specifications and drawings achieving the desired quality.
  • Liaise with the statutory authorities, local community and other agencies affected by the project as required.
  • Conduct weekly site safety meetings, co-ordination meetings, internal employee meetings and subcontractor progress meetings.

To be successful in your application, you will require:


  • A relevant qualification or trade experience.
  • Management or supervisory experience in the construction industry.
  • Valid CSCS card – Management.
  • SMSTS.
  • Competent in Health and Safety practise.
  • The ability to build and develop relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
