Glasgow Life is looking for an Assistant Special Projects Officer to join us on a Full Time, permanent contract. As an Assistant Special Projects Officer you will be joining our in-demand Special Projects Team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports cross service, organisation wide advice in project development and capital investment across the Glasgow Life estate.

The role

As an Assistant Special Projects Officer, you’ll be an integral part of the team by delivering capital projects and strategic asset management support to the Glasgow Life estate. You will also be involved with brief writing, business case development, funding application development and project delivery required as part of the informed client role which Glasgow Life delivers on behalf of Glasgow City Council. Reporting to the Special Projects Manager and working alongside an established team.

The candidate

If you’re interested in joining us as an Assistant Special Projects Officer, you’ll need:

• Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

• Experience in delivering results and collaborative working within project management, economic development, or a capital development-related context.

• Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.

• A relevant qualification with experience in either capital, construction, or economic development projects.

You can read the full person specification for this role under the ‘Job Attachments’ section.

Some of our roles are currently piloting hybrid working, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.

We believe in the transformational power of the programmes and events we provide for the people and visitors of Glasgow. If you would like to be a part of what we do, we’d love to hear from you.

Important Dates: Closing date 26th May 2024 and interviews are provisionally scheduled for 3rd June 2024
