Assistant Supervisor - GLA11829

Job Description

Reporting to the Supervisor/Works Controller/Depot Manager, you will assist with the supervision of a range of generic frontline operational staff, in the delivery of services within a Roads maintenance, winter maintenance, traffic management and other emergencies.  

You must be able to motivate a team, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and be able to demonstrate the ability to find solutions to problems effecting frontline service delivery.

Good communication skills, IT skills and a current driving licence are essential.  

A formal qualification to SVQ level 3 in an area appropriate to the post is desirable as is previous supervisor experience and risk assessment training.

You must also have relevant Supervisory experience of frontline operational staff and previous experience in Roads or Civil/Construction industry.

A 4 days on/ 4 days off work pattern is in operation including weekend working.
