Auctioneer & Valuer

As assistant saleroom manger you are responsible for working closely with the manager, David Miller and ensuring the smooth, efficient running of the saleroom. The role will involve assisting in organising the fortnightly sales and auctioneering responsibilities.

You will be liaising with office staff to ensure a clear line of communication and supporting junior staff members.

The role will encompass the following duties:

• · Organizing and running the fortnightly general sales approx. 600 lots


• · Cataloguing and assisting with photography of lots


• · Assisting the general manager at valuation events


• · Assisting with the bi-annual fine sales


• · Liasing with clients and providing pre and post-sale advice


• . Ability to work well under pressure during auctions


• . Attention to detail and accuracy in item descriptions


• · Some auctioneering skills would be beneficial.
  
  A-Level or equivalent (preferred)


Experience:

• auction: 1 year (preferred)


• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
