Full Job Description
Oversee the daily operation and management of the wine and bar service, working directly with the bar and venue team and in partnership with management to drive all procedures and financial strategies to ensure success in line with business ambitions. Direct all drinks service activities to maintain high standards, maximise profits as well as uphold a consistent and extraordinary guest and team experience.
BAR OPERATIONS
Prepare and review standard procedural daily operations for bar and drinks service
Drive the business forward with sales incentives and business KPI's for bar sales and customer service
Communicate and brief the team on each event and on the business priorities
Proactively and creatively upgrade the guest and employee's experience
Review all supplier pricing and mange purchasing to ensure maximum return for the business
Review sales monthly and set targets to improve specific lines.
Keep abreast of current trends in drinks service
QUALITY
Supervise performance across all levels of drinks service
Use operational experience and knowledge to offer the best service in line with ethos of the business.
Maintain and promote positive morale and team spirit by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and owners.
Support the management of the business through being the clients evening point of contact during events
Keep ahead of current trends in drinks service and be proactive in introducing new products that are popular.
Show flexibility and willing to accommodate clients special requests such as special cocktails and wines for their event
HEALTH & SAFETY & LEGAL
Uphold all licencing requirements and health and safety regulations
Effectively liaise with owners regarding maintenance of any equipment
Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly and with integrity
Review and monitor health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures in relation to all drinks service requirements
- customer Service: 3 years (preferred)
- Bar management: 1 year (preferred)
