Full Job Description
The Eden Campus, located in Guardbridge, approximately 5 miles away from St Andrews, is home to the Colin Vincent Centre for Battery Technology. The battery scale-up facility, complete with dry-room and large-scale equipment produces small volumes of pouch-type batteries.
The Battery Scale-up Technician will help run and maintain the facility to produce high-quality prototype pouch cells for industrial and academic clients. We will provide training.
- Undertaking the day-to-day running and upkeep of the facility,
- Operate equipment to produce and test pouch cells to an acceptable standard for clients,
- Preparing standard operating procedures,
- Carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance of scale-up equipment.
- Support research around battery manufacture, synthesis, materials analysis, and the optimization of cell parameters.
